Ron’s photographer dad >

Lights, Camera, Action!

The founder of Faith Daily will tell you that his dad at one time supported his family as a photographer, taking pictures of people, every one of whom had their own camera! At Faith Daily, we donate our work to our clients in honor of Ron’s dad, but we understand that owning a camera or camcorder does not mean you are a photographer or filmmaker. There is s-o-o much more to it.

Don’t Worry. Faith Daily Makes It Easy.

‍ We handle everything. You select the people we interview. We’ll do everything else.

Anyone who will appear on camera is encouraged to read this page.

Don't worry about being nervous or looking great on camera. Our interviews are completely conversational and very relaxed. Besides, we would never use any footage we shoot that would make you uncomfortable or embarrass you. There are no 'scripts' to rehearse or remember, there are no right or wrong answers, and you don't need to look at the camera. In fact, Ron will tell you to forget he's in the room! And you can dress however you prefer ... whatever makes you feel comfortable, unless our client instructs otherwise. Everyone always tells us that it's actually a lot of fun.

What It Takes To Make A GREAT Video At Your Location …

Here are some of the areas that get special attention when we produce a 100% custom video for you.

The Equipment
We use pro-grade high-definition video and still capture cameras and lenses, mostly from Sony® and Canon®. We normally bring 2 to 4 cameras to each shoot to handle the variety of conditions we may encounter. Most times we shoot using natural light but, if needed, we have lighting equipment on board to handle almost any situation. Of course, we aren’t too proud to use an iPhone® from time-to-time to catch a shot that would be difficult to shoot any other way. But, as any cinematographer will tell you, it's how a scene is filmed that will convey real emotion. Subtle things like lighting, background features, facial expressions, focus techniques, etc. can turn an ordinary video into a compelling story.

Sound Check

Believe it or not, sound is just as important as the picture in a movie. To insure pro results, we use quality Sennheiser® and Rode® microphones to capture every nuance of testimony. We often enrich that sound in post production and mix in a sound track to make your movie more dramatic and interesting to view.

The Interview

While quality cameras and sound equipment are important for creating a film, the interviewer is the single most important asset in producing a meaningful interview presentation. It is a job that requires knowing how to recognize and bring out the best of the people being interviewed.

Meet Ron & Tricia. When we produce a video for your church or nonprofit, we will make sure we always put your best foot forward. Ron shoots the video and photos; Tricia does the interviewing. Your members will appreciate their warm, southern-style friendliness and their professional knowledge. Plus, they can relate to almost any interviewing situation. They've been together 50 years, grew up in radically different churches, have two grown children (one is a priest; the other a music teacher/singer/songwriter) and are now retired.

Ron is a former radio announcer and computer industry executive who now loves working behind a camera and in the Faith Daily editing studio. Tricia is a former school teacher who really knows how to put people at ease. Together, they make a great team — one you will be comfortable with from the moment you meet them.

The Editing Studio

After all of the footage is shot at your location (or ours), we bring it into our studios to edit and produce the final video using Final Cut Pro® software.  This is by far the most time consuming part of making a great presentation. Expect it to take several weeks or more to complete in most cases.

We normally shoot hours of footage but only a few minutes makes it into your final movie(s). The reason we shoot so much footage is that often we become inspired to produce several different movies for our clients. Sometimes a brainstorming session in the studio after we visit your location results in completely new ideas. It’s a highly creative process that we thoroughly enjoy.

The World Premiere

Your finished video will be placed on a server where you can download and use it however you wish. Whether you place it on your website or use it in a presentation is entirely up to you. The only restriction on use is copyright related. You may not modify, duplicate or redistribute the videos or upload them to any commercial service such as YouTube®. You also cannot use them for any commercial purpose or create any derivative works from them.

If you don't know how to add video to your website, we can help with that as well … also for free!  If requested, we can stream your video at a private location on our FaithDaily site. If we do, unlike YouTube® and similar video services, there are no ads on the page on which your video appears and no offensive content or links that often appear next to videos on those services.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We produce all Faith Daily movies for non-commercial, educational use only. We will consult with you on the objective of your production before we begin filming. Please let us know if any commercial use of our work is anticipated.

Schedule A Visit …

Click the CONTACT US button below, tell us a little about yourself, and we'll be in touch. You are under no obligation by making an inquiry. We can film almost anywhere in the U.S., except Alaska and Hawaii, although we do prefer working in smaller cities vs. the bigger ones. We also do not usually travel in sub-freezing climates.

PLEASE NOTE … There may be a significant wait time for a 100% custom produced video filmed at your location. This is primarily because we now offer this service on a limited basis due to Covid-19. Also, since retirement, we are a two-person operation and must limit the time we can be on the road in order to serve clients who do not require on-site assistance.

ON-SITE TRAVEL FEE: In our local area — central South Carolina — we film interviews at your location and at our studios. If you are located outside of this area, we must charge a $1/mile fee to bring our RV & equipment to you. This helps us offset the cost of fuel and vehicle maintenance. (Our 43-ft 'studio' travels only 7 miles on a gallon of diesel fuel; our smaller 24 ft. rig gets better mileage but still requires maintenance.) We donate ALL other expenses for traveling to your location, including lodging (we stay in the RV), meals, our time at your location, the interviewing, the filming, and the extensive editing work afterward. Of course, our Level 1, 2 & 3 video services are not subject to this fee since they are produced entirely at our studios.

Our RV/Mobile Studios

Top: It’s completely self-contained so no electricity or hook-ups are required. All you provide is a 65 foot level, safe spot to park it on your property. We are usually on location at each client site for 2-3 days.

Below: For locations that cannot accommodate the big bus above, we also travel in a smaller 24-foot RV. Both vehicles allow us to help clients across the country.
